Lesley Parkes joined BIADS in February 2015 as a Carer Support Worker, over the years she has increased her knowledge and experience working alongside many wonderful staff, volunteers and members. Lesley progressed to Senior Carer Support Worker and has been instrumental in taking the Carer Support Service to where it is now, leading the team to deliver relevant advice and information to the people we support in Barnsley. Always going the extra mile, making sure we don’t have a waiting list of carers requiring help and support.
As of the 1st August 2023 Lesley proudly became our Deputy Chief Officer. Working Monday, Wednesday and Friday in her role as Deputy Chief Officer, alongside Tuesday and Thursday as Senior Carer Support Worker. However, her biggest achievement is definitely her two sons, Blake and Logan! She really couldn’t be any prouder of them both. When Lesley isn’t at work she enjoys holidays and travel, spending time with the family and also watching her two musk turtles who still don’t have names – oops!
