DEBBIE IS INVITING YOU TO BIADS’ CIRCLE DANCING
We have spaces in our Wednesday session of circle dance.
Circle dance is open to couples where one person has dementia and their loved one/carer.
The session is held at BIADS’ centre, Joseph Exley House, Dean Street, Barnsley, S70 6EX (just off Dodworth Road).
WHAT IS CIRCLE DANCE?
At circle dance we sit in a circle and discuss a chosen topic (reminiscing, daily news, whatever we choose as a group) as well as dancing.
We start the session with a greetings’ dance, it is a low level of activity, holding hands in a circle to beautiful therapeutic, calming music, the steps are simple to follow and our activities coordinator, Debbie, will guide you through them. Circle dance promotes a feeling of calm and relaxation for all those who attend.
After the session we serve refreshments and carry on our conversations.
It would be lovely to see new members join our group and you will always be greeted with a warm and welcoming smile.
