What’s happening
Week commencing 2nd October sees the start of our last activity block of 2023, we have spaces in Thursday activities and Wednesday circle dancing, please see a member of staff for more info and to book your place. If you’re not sure which session to join, please ask about our taster sessions to help you decide.
New group alert! Starting Wednesday 4th October at 1pm we have a new session for couples to enjoy “lunch club” come along and bring your lunch to enjoy, we will provide refreshments and activities for you to take part in, no need to book just come along.
All the events listed below, except the walking group, are get togethers with refreshments provided. If you already attend we want to see you again and if you want to come for the first time you can be sure of a very warm welcome despite the colder weather outside!
Monday 2nd October
10am to noon Snap tin café at Goldthorpe
10am to 1pm Monk Bretton Café – referral only please see a member of staff to book a place
1pm to 3pm Singers with our pianist Lynne

A support group for carers is taking place between 1pm and 2pm
Wednesday 4th October
Deadline for tickets for our social party at the Holiday Inn on the 12th October
1pm to 3pm New group lunch club, for couples bring your lunch and enjoy some activities and a chat
1pm to 3pm Drop in café at our centre on Dean Street

Saturday 7th October
Penistone WI are hosting a fashion show in the afternoon raising funds for BIADS – please ring for more details if you would like to attend
COMING UP
Our Halloween themed social event at the Holiday Inn is on 12th October and tickets are now on sale at our centre – £18 each to include a two course meal (three main course choices to pick from) and teas and coffee, entertainment and a raffle. Get your dancing shoes on! Deadline for tickets 4th October.

Celebrating his birthday this week is Simon Cowell, and the late Mahatma Ghandi
The month of October is breast cancer awareness month and October 5th is national poetry day.
