A charity race night organised by design and construction company, NPS Barnsley, exceeded all expectations and raised £4,855 for Barnsley Independent Alzheimer’s and Dementia Support (BIADS).
As a corporate partner of the charity, NPS Barnsley organised the event which took place at Holy Rood function room, and saw races sponsored by local businesses and individuals.
NPS Barnsley’s Managing Director, Karen Temple, said: “It’s thanks to everyone who was involved, that the race night was such a great success. This includes members of my team who worked tirelessly and volunteered their time. We are looking forward to continuing working with BIADS to raise further funds to help people with dementia and their carers live well in Barnsley.”
Chief Officer for BIADS, Linda Pattison, who attended the event said: “When they announced the total amount raised at the end of the evening, I along with everyone else was speechless. To raise such a huge amount at one event shows the generosity of not only our corporate partner, NPS Barnsley, but also local businesses and individuals who were involved. Everyone here at BIADS, including those we support are truly grateful – thank you.”
