Barry Hines is famous for his book ‘Kestrel for a knave’ which went on to be made into the popular film ‘Kes’. Sadly, Barry has had dementia for a number of years and is now in long term care. His wife, Eleanor, has donated 2,000 copies of his book ‘This artistic life’ to raise money for BIADS. All we are asking for is a donation for a copy. All monies raised will be used to support Barnsley people affected by dementia. If you would like a copy they are available from our Dementia Support Centre on Dean Street, off Dodworth Road and at our charity shops in the Arcade and on Midland Road at Royston.
