On Saturday 1st October Barnsley Concert Band will play at the Darton Darby and Joan Club, Church Street, Barnsley, to raise funds and awareness for Barnsley Independent Alzheimer’s and Dementia Support (BIADS).

The Barnsley Concert Band are known as Barnsley’s premier woodwind, brass and percussion ensemble. For 35 years they have been entertaining audiences of all ages locally and internationally. The band has almost 40 members, ages range from 13 to nearly 80 years old. The band is a combination of music students, enthusiastic amateurs and professional musicians. Musical repertoires cover all major genres, pop, rock, folk, and theatre to light classical.

Tickets are £6 each and available to buy from BIADS’ Support Centre on Dean Street, Barnsley, S70 6EX or call 01226 280057. You can buy in person before the event or reserve a ticket to collect on the night by telephoning or emailing biads@btconnect.com. Only 60 tickets are available for the concert which starts at 7.30pm and are expected to sell out fast.
